Alert!Electric Popsicle Field

The third show produced by NewFoundDance is titled "Alert! Electric Popsicle Field" and will take place on June 12th and 13th in Toronto, Ontario. The show begins at 8pm, at the Dancemakers Centre for Creation Theatre.

"Alert! Electric Popsicle Field" begins with the cinematic "Spoiler Alert!" choreographed by Robyn Breen. With familiar props to support the movement, this video loaded work takes the audience "channel surfing through life".

Marieve Aube's "Picture This" explores the place a photograph takes us, be is pleasant, melancholic, or somewhere in the middle.

Though "Electic (M.A.D.)" by Stefanie Theroux may have the smallest ensemble of dancers, the excitement in the movement is capacious. The choreography, set to the music of Jimi Hendrix, investigates the struggles between power and love.

"Pura Vida", choreographed by Hannah Etlin-Stein, ends the show on a meditative high as the dancers explore a simpler way of life.

As well as all choreographers, Brittany-Brie D'amico and Hannah Walter join the ensemble as dancers. All members are either recent graduates or soon to be graduates of the Fine Arts Dance program at York University.
