Brian Amadi is a multidisciplinary artist, poet, filmmaker, and tattooist based in Newfoundland. With over eight years of experience in the province, Brian has built a career that bridges visual art, storytelling, and community engagement. He draws inspiration from his background in political science and sociology to craft work that explores themes of identity, belonging, and cultural narratives.
As a member of The Art of Being Black, Brian leads initiatives celebrating and amplifying Black artistry and stories. His projects emphasize connection and inclusion, fostering spaces where underrepresented voices can thrive. Brian’s artistry extends to tattooing, where he specializes in fine-line and colour tattoos that blend precision with emotion, drawing from his experiences in other visual art forms.
Brian was the first recipient of the Picture NL Empowerment Program, where he is currently developing a short film that reflects his passion for creating visually rich, culturally resonant stories. His innovative approach to art and storytelling continues to evolve, showing his dedication to honoring culture, fostering belonging, and pushing artistic boundaries.

Oluwaseyi Jemilusi, also known as IV, is a stylist and photographer based in Newfoundland, his foundation is. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria. With a foundation rooted in the vibrant culture of Lagos. He honed his craft as a celebrity stylist, collaborating with prominent figures in fashion and entertainment. This experience informs his distinctive approach to visual storytelling.
Currently pursuing a degree in Visual Arts at Grenfell Campus, IV’s photography is deeply inspired by Black culture and his Pan-African identity. Through projects like The Art of Being Black, he celebrates the richness of African heritage and its global connections. His work often features styled subjects that embody cultural pride, merging traditional aesthetics with contemporary narratives.
